| Data Bodega™ revolves around what people eat and how that relates to political and social structures. Multiple tools and access methods, including installation, video and the internet, will provide pathways to information that is not readily accessible and to provide new ways to understand seemingly mundane activities and use the “power of knowledge” to effect change. A formal environment will provide a physical interface to virtual data in order to create an existential metaphor that reveals to people as they go along, the reality of the food chain — as we live it. The web will provide broad access to information and will serve as a meeting place and information center that extends the installation visit and ultimately becomes its own network hub. |
